
After graduating dental school from the University of Oklahoma he went on to medical school at Louisiana State University Shreveport graduating in 2010 and completing oral and maxillofacial surgery residency/fellowship training from LSU-S in 2014. He treats conditions ranging from facial trauma, craniofacial deformities as well as complex dental implant surgery.
Dr. Zakhary specializes in Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. As the medical director of Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at UCSF Fresno/Community Medical Center, he is able to offer full scope treatment for patients with craniofacial anomalies as well as educate surgical residents and fellows.
After receiving his dental degree from University of Oklahoma, Dr. Zakhary moved on to Louisiana State University Shreveport, where he earned his medical degree in 2010, followed by an internship in General Surgery. He completed his OMFS residency in 2013 and his Cleft and Craniofacial Fellowship in 2014.
He is a member of the American Cleft Palate – Craniofacial Association, and the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Zakhary has authored multiple articles and lectures on craniofacial surgery.
